General settings of mail clients

Incoming email under the IMAP protocol

When using IMAP protocol, email program synchronizes with server and saves the structure of your inbox folders. Emails which are sent with program will be saved not only in computer’s memory, but also on a server. You can access to them from different devices.

  • account name — full email address (example: name@domain)
  • password — specified in the Mirohost control panel
  • mail server address (imap) — mx1.mirohost.net
  • IMAP port — 993, TLS SSL encrypted
  • IMAP port — 143, non-encrypted

Income email under the POP3 protocol

When using POP3 protocol, all emails from folders specified in ‘Settings’ → ‘Mail programs’ will be saved by email program to your computer in Income folder. If needed, you can set filters in your email program to move emails automatically to the folders you need. Outcome emails will be kept only in your computer.

  • POP3 port — 995, TLS SSL encrypted
  • POP3 port — 110, non-encrypted

Outcoming email under the SMTP protocol

  • account name — full email address (example: name@domain)
  • password — specified in the Mirohost control panel
  • mail server address (smtp) — mx1.mirohost.net
  • SMTP port — 587, STARTTLS encrypted
  • SMTP port — 465 , TLS SSL encrypted
  • SMTP port — 25, non-encrypted
